Clean Cornwall is a project run by Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC) and is aligned to CRCC’s overarching policies and practices.

CRCC is committed to protecting your privacy. We only receive information from you when you fill out a form on-line, contact the Clean Cornwall email, post via social media or via cookies, which are implemented should you wish to do so, to help speed up future navigation (see cookies section below).

When filling in a form, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name or contact details, you may however, visit our site anonymously.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Clean Cornwall requests the minimum amount of information to enable us to process your request. This can include your name and contact details.

WHAT DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR?

Whenever you provide us with your personal information via our website, we will treat that information in accordance with this Statement, CRCC’s Data Protection Statement and current UK Data Protection legislation. Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

• to process a request e.g. to register a litter pick, to provide resources, to provide advice 

• to respond to your feedback or booking 

• to collect non-personally identifiable information to provide statistics and feedback on litter picks, community action and the usage of the website 

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged or transferred or given to any other company for any reason, without your consent. Information relating to a litter pick registration will be shared with Clean Cornwall partners, Cornwall Council and Biffa, to enable completion of your request.

Clean Cornwall does not undertake marketing activities and will not use or share personal data to this end.

If you have registered for a litter pick, Clean Cornwall, Cornwall Council or Biffa Municipal Ltd may contact you for further information related to this or to confirm details of your event.

Where you have agreed to be contacted it will be in regard to a specific project or activity to review that experience. Should you not wish to be contacted at any point simply let us know and we will ensure your details are removed.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of personal information, using encryption, limited access and passwords as appropriate.

We do not maintain a mailing list of personal information.

Cornwall Council and Biffa Municipal Ltd will also maintain the same levels of security that we do, which are set out in the contract we have with them and their own privacy statements are available on their websites.
Cookies

We are required by EU law to use cookie notification. Cookies are software files that are stored on a computer or mobile when an individual visits a website. Cookies allow websites to recognise that a user on an individual computer has previously visited the site. We do not use the information for marketing purposes. We do make use of Google Analytics cookies to report non-personally identifiable visitor information to other parties for statistical reporting, e.g. how many people visited a particular page on a website.
