Clean Cornwall Newsletter

Dear All,

We’d like to welcome the following businesses to the Clean Cornwall network: St Austell, Brewery, Funny Faces, The Rick Stein Group, Pendennis, Shipyard, Sharp’s Brewery, Henry Orchard and Sons, Tregoad Holiday ParkBarratt, Homes, Elmswood House, Cloud Above and Biffa.

These generous businesses have recently joined our Change Makers campaign alongside our existing partners, and will be working with us to keep Cornwall clean!

For those that haven’t heard of our Change-Makers campaign yet, it was launched on the 8th of June. The goal of this new campaign is to invite local businesses to join the Clean Cornwall network and to help provide much needed funding to keep our services running.

If you’d like to find out more about the Change-Makers campaign you can watch our promotional video below and check out the new  “Change-Makers” section on our website.

We are beginning the process of updating the Clean Cornwall website, making it easier to use and navigate and adding interesting and useful information We are continuing to work with businesses in Cornwall to enlist their help to boost the Change Makers campaign, secure funding for Clean Cornwall’s future and tackle the issue of litter and waste together.

We are working to raise the profile of Clean Cornwall on social media platforms to raise awareness and start discussions about the litter and waste issues that Cornwall is facing.

Since January, Clean Cornwall has helped over 4000 volunteers to remove more than 300 bags of rubbish from locations all over Cornwall. 85% of people in Cornwall think litter is either a major problem or a big problem, so it’s evident that our litter picking registration service continues to be a useful and accessible resource that allows communities to keep their own environment clean and litter-free.

Finally, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our partners and new Change-Maker members who have made our work possible this year. We are keen to hear your ideas and suggestions, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have an idea or goal that you would like us to consider in the network.

Many thanks,

The Clean Cornwall Team
